Anong Meron Space helps Filipinos find volunteer drives and community events by city

Volunteer calls tend to get posted once, on someone’s story or feed, and by the time you see them, the slots are often gone. Or maybe your algorithm doesn’t even show them to you at all.

Anong Meron Space is a new web app that’s trying to put them all in one place. Behind it is a solo founder, Meena Morales, who built Anong Meron Space as a passion project. She describes it as “Pinterest for side quests,” a page where you can browse what’s coming up in the next 30 days, from workshops and pop-ups to community gatherings.

Based on its listings, the mix also includes donation drives, volunteer opportunities, calls for merchants, flea markets, and parties, which makes it as useful for finding your next good deed as for finding your next weekend plan.

You can narrow things down by city, so the options stay close to home. Creating an account lets you save the events you’re interested in, and there’s an Add to Google Calendar option so a Saturday donation drive or flea market doesn’t get lost in the scroll.

There’s nothing to download either. You open the website and add it to your phone’s home screen, and it works like an app.

For organizers, listing an event is free. Anyone running a drive, a volunteer day, or a small community event can email the team to have it promoted up to 30 days ahead, which is useful for small groups that don’t have the budget to boost their posts. The platform’s stated aim is to help small businesses and communities get seen by people who are actively looking for something to do.

Ticketing is reportedly in the works, and the platform says it’s a hyper-local app for cities across the Philippines, for now. There’s also a Local Area Reports feature, where users can share and check community updates like brownouts, traffic, and spotty WiFi.

Because it’s an open events platform, what you’ll find depends on what organizers post, and volunteer listings sit alongside everything else. But that’s what makes the app more helpful for otherwise busy people—it’s easier to fit that schedule into your week when it shows up next to the other things you’d already be doing.

If you’re running a donation drive, a cleanup, or a volunteer call, post it there so more people can see it. And if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, check what’s happening in your city, and pick one side quest that helps someone else.
