As students prepared for the opening of School Year 2026–2027, Barbaza Multi-Purpose Cooperative reached young learners across Aklan, Antique, and Iloilo through its Adopt-a-School Program, distributing school supplies to help them begin the academic year.
The cooperative visited several schools in the three provinces as part of the initiative, providing students with school bags and other learning materials. Among the schools that received assistance were Tabongtabong Elementary School in Barbaza, Antique; Odiongan Elementary School in San Dionisio, Iloilo; and Salvacion Elementary School.
Photos shared by the cooperative showed students receiving the supplies, which were intended to help ease back-to-school expenses for families and ensure children had the basic materials they needed for learning.
The Adopt-a-School Program formed part of Barbaza Multi-Purpose Cooperative’s continuing efforts to support education and encourage young learners as they embarked on a new school year.
“More than providing learning materials, we are sharing hope, encouragement, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential,” the cooperative said in a Facebook post.
The cooperative added that the initiative reflected its commitment to investing in education and strengthening the communities it serves. It also acknowledged the support of its members, partners, and local communities in making the program possible.
